Department of Skin VD
Students learn the fundamentals of managing diseases of the skin and skin appendages such as hair, nails, sweat glands and sebaceous glands through caring for patients with dermatology presentations (including rashes, pigmentation and skin cancer). Students also learn the role of dermatology consultation in the care of general medical patients— both in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
Following goals and objectives:
- To provide comprehensive dermatological care for patients with skin disease
- To increase understanding of normal and pathological processes in skin
- To facilitate the education and growth of individuals, including medical students, faculty, and staff in dermatology and other subspecialties
