Department of Psychiatry

1) Is to teach the undergraduate medical students to be outstanding clinicians who will be ethical, empathetic for dealing with mental illness patients.

2)Provide diagnosis, treatment and prevent mental emotional and behavioural disorders with the use of medication and psychotherapy.

Department Aims:

• 1) To build up competent medical graduates who are competent in management of mental illness patients individually.
• 2) To provide psychopharmacological treatment for relief of mental suffering associated with mental disorders and improvement of well-being.
• 3)  To raise community awareness that reduce about mental health disorders and increase understanding of quality mental health care for improvement of mental well-being.
